This site has
been developed to provide a comprehensive database
of local authority guidelines, creating a central
location for individuals seeking information to
support the development control process. Ensuring
that details are appropriate in terms of local
authority guidelines, but also maintaining a contemporary
database with up to date standards.
Access to the guidelines has
also been simplified through the creation of user-friendly
drop-down menus, allowing direct access to specific
development design standards and guidelines.
Working as a Transport Consultant
within a multi-disciplinary engineering practice,
access to local authority development design guidelines
is critical to ensure masterplans and development
layouts comply with local standards, whether this
is parking provision or highway design features.
This site has been prepared in
the first instance to focus on road design and
development guidelines, however our goal is to
establish EDART
as a key reference tool for designers and engineers
from all disciplines through continual expansion
of the database, so keep an eye out for additions
to the database in the future.
The site also includes access
to key documents for reference, providing both
national and local policies. Also available through
our links page is direct
connection to all local authority websites, and
national bodies for further reference.
As EDART
evolves we would like to hear from our users and
in particular feedback with regards what we can
do better, or if there are specific reference
materials which need to be included. Please use
our contacts page to
comment on the site and its content.
Finally, we have specifically
allocated areas of our site as advertising space,
if you are interested in having your company logo
along side EDART
please contact us to
discuss your requirements. |
